Bible Reading - Deuteronomy 20, Psalm 107, Isaiah 47, Revelation 17

Say So!

This morning my heart is overwhelmed with passion, joy and excitement as I read Psalm 107. This verse is a powerful picture of the amazing love of our Heavenly Father and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Verses 1 and 2a read, "Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the LORD say so." What are the redeemed saying SO to? They are saying SO to the fact that the Lord is good and that his steadfast love endures forever.

Once the opening verses conclude the Psalm goes into a repetitive collection of people who have been radically redeemed by our merciful and loving God. Verses 4-9 speak of those who had lost there way and were unable to reach their destination, but they cried to God in their trouble and He delivered them. Verses 10-16 speak of those who willfully continued in sin and turned from the way of the Lord and yet they too called on the name of the Lord in their time of trouble and God saved them. Verses 17-22 speaks of those who were deceived but these people too called on the name of the Lord and were delivered. Verses 23-32 talks of those who where on their own journey, trying to find their own path through success. Once again at the end of it all they were in the middle of trouble and they called on the name of the Lord and He saved them. These are those that are all now saying, SO. WOW go back and read Psalm 107 again and look how powerful this passage is and how wonderful our God is.

Looking at this passage today I know that I can say, SO. Not only because I read here how he had taken the worst of situations and has redeemed them but when I look and see how He has taken the worst in me and redeemed me. I am so thankful that I have the Lord Jesus Christ in my life that I can call on in any situation and in any season and He will answer.

Today I am crying out with so many countless others, SO. I am declaring that the Lord is good and His steadfast love endures forever and ever.

Meditate on this passage today and join with redeemed in saying, SO.
