Daily Bible Reading Plan – I Samuel 3, Isaiah 49, Revelation 7‐9
The Great Turn Around (Isaiah 49: 7)
I am continually blow away by God’s amazing love and faithfulness towards His people. He continues to show me in so many ways that He loves me and wants the best for my life. I don’t know how He does it and sometimes I even wonder why He does it. I have come to realize that it is because He is faithful to me even when I am not faithful to Him.
One of the ways He continues to show me His faithfulness is by turning the most unlikely situations around for my good. It reminds me of Romans 8:28 where it says, “…God works all things together for good…” In other words God will and does take any and every situation in our life and work it for good. I love how it says He works “all” things together for good. It does not just say “some” of the things in my life no…It says, “all” situations. That means He takes the good the bad and the ugly in my life puts it all together and some how come out with a masterpiece that is beautiful.
We see this principle at work in this passage in Isaiah. We see a person that was greatly despised and abhorred by all the people. This is a person that no one wanted to be around and that was looked down upon. BUT God steps in and does The Great Turn Around. And when God steps in He always does exceedingly and abundantly above all that we would ever think. We see here that He does not just make it so the person is no longer abhorred but He takes it to the next level. God makes it so now princes, rulers and kings are bowing down to this person.
I love this portion of scripture because it shows me the key to the whole process. It says that this is all possible, “because of the Lord who is faithful”. This passage blows my mind. It gives me hope that God can and will do the great turn around in situations in my life. Not just the situations that I think might work out but in the ones that looks like they will never work out. This is the faithfulness of God and this is how much He loves me.
What about you today? What is going on in you life that you think is not going to work out. You should take a minute and bring it to God and watch Him do The Great Turn Around in your life. After all He really is that faithful.
I would love to hear your thoughts.
