Ah yes by reading the title I am sure the first thing you did was begin to sing that wonderful song, “Walk like an Egyptian”. Well this last weekend I was reminded that not only do Egyptians have a way of walking but so do I as a Christ follower.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to speak at another church here in San Diego. My whole team had been involved in doing a retreat for this church and it was my turn on Sunday morning.
As I was speaking to the people I heard God very clearly say to me, “If it’s not a step of faith it is not a step at all”. The minute I heard Him say this it came out of my mouth and those that were listening heard it as well.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith not by sight”. In other words we do not walk according to what we feel or what we see but rather we walk according to what God says and what His plans are. This is a step of faith and because it is the way we walk as Christ followers if it is not a stop of faith it is not a step at all.
I once hear Dr. Chand say, “If you are 100% sure you are to late”. I wish could say that I knew what that meant the minute he said it but I didn’t. Everyday I am learning what this means as I take another step towards what God is calling me to do. No not a step based on good research and great planning but a step of faith based on pure obedience to God.
Next time you are getting ready to do something ask yourself, “is this a step of faith”, because after all if it’s not a step of faith it’s not a step at all.
Thanks for listening.

That is good, I think I needed those two sentences together that last week. I actually did from your wife and my dad, just different wording. It was good to read it again.
I love this! So good! Thanks for the wisdom!
