Ah vacation vacation vacation. We left on Monday morning from our house at 4:45am to catch a plane (someone please remind me never to do that again this is vacation people). I was hoping for a nap on the plane but my daughters had different plans, like keep me and mom awake the whole time. We arrived Seattle at around 9:30am and thanks to a jammed door on the plane we did not get our luggage until around 11am (I love Seatac - notice the sarcasm). But never the less we are on vacation.
Some Vacations are power packed with site seeing or boating or surfing and shopping but we decided to just visit family on this one leave the kids with them all day long and go on dates. Which we did on Tuesday night. After leaving the kids with mom and dad at around 5pm we proceeded to go shopping, go out to a really nice dinner and then see the 10pm showing of Superman. Other than seeing the 10pm showing it was an ok movie, it definitely held true to the originals. We did not get home until about 2am the next morning - wow I cant remember the last time we did that.
On Wednesday we drove up north further so that I could preach at GC Seattle - which I thought went pretty well. There was a great response to the altar and I stayed and prayed for people for 1hr. All that said I missed you guys in Vegas at The Movement but I heard the Nipps tore it up and worship and prayer were off the hook.
Ok back to my vacation. As we were driving up north further my daughter looked out the window and said "Daddy what are those big green tall scarey things". I looked at here and said, "you mean the trees", "oh that's what those are dad", "yes honey those are trees". Now it is a sealed deal I definitely have dessert rats for children - they do not even know what trees are. I guess we need to visit family more often.
Anyway so We have been having a great vacation so far. Lots of sleeping in doing nothing but relax and play with the kids.
I am on Whidbey Island now - yes ladies and gentlemen the largest Island in the continental US. I will see you guys next week as I start my new series "The Junk Yard".
Thanks for Listening
