This past week I discovered something, something very profound! I like to talk a lot or at least that's what I was told by seven or so hundred people. I guess this is a good thing for a guy who likes to preach. That is if you like long winded rambling preachers. But I don't really ramble that much I don't think. I mean I do think but I just don't think that I ramble that much. Although just talking about this reminds me of this one time when.... Ok I will stop.
So what did I say to these people who said this - absolutely nothing!
But there was one time this week when I was talking to my assistant about something very important. I got done with my whole schpeel and she just smiled at me and said ya that sounds good. About five minutes later she came back and said she did not even hear a word I said. So after I fired her I began to think about those Charlie Brown episodes when they are at school and the teacher is speaking, and all you can hear is Bla Bla Bla Bla or is more like Waa Waa Waa Waa - anyway. What is up with that anyway why do all the kids get to talk to one another but when they are at school they make the teacher sound like some un-important person that has absolutely nothing to say. Then you wonder why kids don't listen in school and why they disrespect their teachers - Way to go Charlie Brown!
Back to the point if there is one. It is just amusing to me that sometimes we pretend to be hearing people when they are talking to us but we never actually hear a word they say. So next time I catch you in one of those monuments I am just going to say Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla and see if you even notice.
Wow that was fun!
Thanks for listening

Pastor Ben, great post! You hit the nail right on the head when you said that thing about, um, well, wait a second, ahh, what was it that you said...?
;-)
I think I said somthing like Bla Bla Bla
By the way, thanks to YOU I found myself watching "The Biggest Loser" last night. ;-)
okay, I would just like to clarify one thing. I was listening to what you were saying but it was unfortunately not completely registering in my mind...and if i remember, when I asked you to repeat it, you said that it wasn't that important so never mind. Ahem. And I wasn't fired either.
